We build and construct quality pole buildings for customers throughout Western Washington and we are looking to expand our construction crews. We are currently hiring for construction Crew Members with the opportunity of growing into a Crew Foreman role, if desired. Majority of our work is done in Peirce, King, Kitsap and Mason County. However we do have jobs in the surrounding counties as well (Thurston, Lewis, Snohomish and more).

Crew Member

• Learn, keep current with and apply the safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards of Jahner Built Construction.
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans.
• Utilize various tools and equipment to safely and efficiently construct buildings.
• Efficiently execute tasks such as: digging and installing footings, framing walls and roof structures, installing windows, entry and other doors and door openings, installing various siding and roofing materials including hi-rib steel, shingles, wood and other siding materials and finishing with metal and wood trims.
• Work with other crew personnel in a safe, organized, productive and enjoyable work environment treating everyone with dignity and respect.

Crew Foreman

• Foreman provides professional leadership by creating a safe, organized work environment that is productive and enjoyable and treats all employees and customers with dignity and respect.
• Ensure crew members, including new hires, are fully trained and follow all safety and construction procedures.
• Efficiently execute tasks such as: digging and installing footings, framing walls and roof structures, installing windows, entry and other doors and door openings, installing various siding and roofing materials including hi-rib steel, shingles, wood and other siding materials and finishing with metal and wood trims.
• Communicate with the customers on all contractual aspects of the project.
• Organize specific jobs for the crew members in a way which provides opportunities for success. Utilize the unique skills and contributions of each for training and growth and maximize the overall crew efficiency.
• Foreman leads by personal example and requires cooperation by all crew employees in timely starts and stops.
• Daily planning; Review daily assignments for each crew employee, state the expected and acceptable progress for the day and review safety and training items and discuss overall job performance.
• Understand and enforce all company policies and procedures (Safety, Construction and Corporate).
• Complete jobs on time and within budget while maintaining the Jahner Built quality. 
• Complete all required paperwork such as accurate reporting of time.

• Must be 18 yrs or older 
• Building construction (post-frame), carpentry or framing experience preferred (on the job or in school) for a crewman positions; required for a foreman position.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license or have reliable transportation
• Available to work a flexible schedule (6 am to 6 pm) that will include Saturdays during peak construction periods
• Ability to take direction
• Produce quality work in an efficient manner
• Agree to comply with all our safety processes and procedures
• Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
• Ability to operate specialized safety equipment efficiently and effectively
• Standard weight lifting requirements - 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
• Capable of working in a physically demanding environment and at various heights (up to 35 feet)
• Possess good communication skills
• This position occasionally requires travel, which includes overnight travel possibly up to a week or two at a time.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
